Today was definitely one of the most memorable times of our trip so far. We were up for breakfast, and off to the mall early. Shopping here is very different from home, extremely pricey but really nice clothes. We only shopped for an hour, then hurried back to our hotel to get back and ready for another volleyball match. All the teams we have played so far have been amazingly strong teams. Although we did not win a set we had good rallies and intense play.

After our game we returned to our hotel for lunch, rested for a while then were off for our next event. Today was the first clinic with the children. When we arrived to the clinic and the girls started to arrive we all got happy to see how excited the girls were to be there. We all split up into different groups and each had different activities at four stations. Approximately twenty-five little girls ten and under rotated throughout the stations. The girls taught us some of their dances, and we attempted to teach them a “Canadian” dance. The girls were adorable; each one of us had girls clinging to our sides. Although the clinic was only two hours, we were all attached to the girls. At the end of the clinic we gave out t-shirts, Canadian flags, pins, and tattoos. When it came time to leave, the girls were running around with pens asking us to autograph their shirts. The children were sad that we were leaving, but happy we were there at all. I think it was impacting for every single one of us.

After the clinic we were off to the Steak House for a buffet dinner. You choose your salads and different appetizers and the meat is served right at the table. Many waiters are walking around the restaurant holding different kinds of meat. You select which ones you want and don’t want. We stayed at the restaurant for about two hours. The food was all amazing. I think we all left the restaurant stuffed and ready to sleep. This trip has been amazing and it’s only the fourth day in, can’t wait for the rest!
